Shroomkin are quiet folk bound to the cycles of growth and decay, their lives shaped by the hidden networks of fungi that stretch beneath forest floors. Their mottled skin and faintly glowing eyes make them look as though they themselves had grown from the soil, guardians of the delicate balance between life and rot.

Veil of Spores
Shroomkin carry within them the power of the forest’s decay. With a simple breath, they can unleash a choking spore cloud, shielding themselves in mist and weakening those who dare to step too close.

Fungal Resilience
Their bodies are hardened against toxins and decay. Poisons that would cripple others barely faze them, their resilience a reflection of their fungal heritage.

Mycelial Whisper
Through unseen threads of the earth, Shroomkin share emotions and impressions. Their minds touch through spores and soil, weaving bonds of trust and subtle communication that transcend words.

Children of Shadow
Accustomed to damp groves and dark caverns, Shroomkin thrive in the half-light. They vanish easily into shade, moving with the patience of growth itself until the moment comes to strike or heal.

Spore Veil

You can release a cloud of spores as an action, creating lightly obscured terrain in a 10-foot radius centered on you. Creatures that start their turn in this cloud must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or be poisoned until the start of their next turn. You can use this feature once per long rest.

Fungal Resilience

Your body resists poisons and toxins. You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have resistance to poison damage.

Mycelial Connection

You can communicate simple emotions or images telepathically with any creature within 30 feet that shares your fungal heritage or is in contact with the same soil or fungal network. This communication doesn’t require language, and can only convey basic concepts.

Shade Dweller

Accustomed to damp, dark environments, you have darkvision up to 60 feet and advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in dim light or natural shadows.
