Shifters embody the primal link between mortals and beasts, their forms carrying hints of untamed ancestry and their spirits echoing with the rhythm of the wild. Their eyes gleam with feral light, and their presence is both awe-inspiring and unsettling, a living testament to nature’s raw power.

Instincts Awakened
Even in calm moments, shifters carry an edge of readiness. Their bestial instincts grant them natural talent in physical and survival skills, making them equally adept at climbing cliffs, hunting prey, or intimidating foes.

Eyes of the Wild
With keen senses sharpened by the beast within, shifters see clearly through the shadows. Their vision cuts through darkness, revealing threats where others stumble blindly.

Resilient Reflexes
The feral spark within grants them agility beyond mortal measure. Their sharpened reflexes allow them to resist danger with a grace and resilience that sets them apart.

Shifting Nature
When the beast stirs, a shifter’s form twists into something fearsome and primal. With each shift they harden their skin, lengthen their fangs, or quicken their stride, embodying a raw, untamed power that transforms them into avatars of survival.

Bestial Instincts

Channeling the beast within, you have proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Acrobatics, Athletics, Intimidation, or Survival.

Darkvision

You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet.

Graceful Reflexes

You have proficiency in Dexterity and Charisma saving throws.

Shifting

At the start of your turn, you can assume a more bestial appearance. This transformation lasts for 1 minute, until you die, or until you revert to your normal appearance as a bonus action. When you shift, you gain temporary hit points equal to 2 × your proficiency bonus. You can use this feature a number of times per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus, or by expending a 1st level or higher spell slot.

While shifted, you gain an additional benefit based on one of the following options (choose when you select this race):

  • Beasthide. You gain PM additional temporary hit points at the start of your turn, and have +1 bonus to your Armor Class.

  • Longtooth. You can use your elongated fangs to make an unarmed strike. If you hit with your fangs, you can deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength or Dexterity modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

  • Swiftstride. Your walking speed increases by 10 feet. Additionally, you can disengage as a reaction to being attacked and move up to 10 feet, this must be used when the attack is made before knowing if it hits.

  • Wildhunt. You have advantage on Wisdom checks, and your attacks deal additional damage equal to your proficiency bonus against a creature if you are within 5 feet of it, no other creatures are within 5 feet of you, and you don't have disadvantage on the attack roll.
