Grung

Small and amphibious, Grung are vibrant frogfolk whose slick, brightly colored skin makes them both alluring and dangerous. Their piercing eyes and agile frames reflect a life built for survival in the wetlands.

Agile Survivors
With powerful legs and nimble bodies, Grung leap, climb, and swim with unmatched grace. Their natural agility makes them adept hunters and elusive foes, able to strike and vanish before enemies can react.

Toxic Defenders
Every Grung carries the gift and curse of poisonous skin. This defense makes even casual contact perilous, a reminder that their beauty is inseparable from danger. To outsiders, this trait is as fearsome as it is fascinating.

The innate abilities of this lineage

Frog Legs

Your powerful legs let you leap with incredible agility. Your jump distance is 10 feet. In addition, you have a swimming and climbing speed equal to your walking speed.

Elastic Tongue

Your tongue can extend up to 10 feet, allowing you to manipulate objects, make attacks, and grapple creatures.

  • You can use your tongue to interact with objects within 10 feet, such as opening doors, grabbing small items, or activating simple mechanisms.
  • Your tongue can be use to make an unarmed strike.
  • When you hit a creature with your tongue unarmed strike, you can use a bonus action to attempt to grapple the target. If the target is Medium or smaller, you can pull yourself or the creature 5 feet closer, provoking opportunity attacks from creatures other than yourself.
  • While you have a creature grappled in this way, you cannot use your tongue for anything else.

Poison Resilience

You can breathe both air and water. You have resistance to poison damage and advantage on saving throws to avoid or end the poisoned condition on yourself.

Toxic Skin

When a creature grapples you or hits you with a melee attack while within 5 feet, it takes poison damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
