Dragonborn are a people forged by an ancient covenant with dragons, their very souls bound to draconic magic and might. Every scale, every breath of power, is a living testament to the timeless bond between mortal and wyrm.

Born of Ancestry
Each Dragonborn carries within them the strength of draconic lineage. Their bodies bear shimmering scales, their eyes glint with the fire of their ancestry, and their resilience is bolstered by elemental resistance that ties them to the great dragons of old.

Bonded to Power
Unlike other spellcasters, Dragonborn channel raw draconic force directly through their souls. Their innate magic flows from Constitution itself, granting them a unique form of casting unbound by focus or ritual.

Breath of Destruction
The hallmark of their kind, a Dragonborn’s breath weapon unleashes elemental devastation. In cones or lines of searing energy, they embody the destructive majesty of dragons, wielding ancestral might with every exhale.

Enduring Spirit
Strengthened by their heritage, Dragonborn are marked by toughness that rivals their draconic patrons. Their vitality grows with them, ensuring that whether on the battlefield or in the forge of life, they endure where others fall.

Draconic Ancestry

You have resistance to one damage type of your choice.

Draconic bonding

You can use Constitution instead of your spellcasting modifier to cast spells. You do not need an arcane focus as you are soul bound with draconic magic.

Breath Weapon

You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in either a 5 by 30 foot line or 15 foot cone must succeed on a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes a number of d6 equal to your proficiency modifier of damage.

You can use this feature a number of times per long rest equal to your Constitution Modifier, or by expending a 1st level or higher spell slot.

Toughness

Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.
