How to Use this DnD 5e Attack Roller

To utilize the Attack Roller, first input your total attack bonus in the initial field—this typically combines your proficiency bonus with your Strength or Dexterity modifier.

Advantage, Disadvantage, or Normal?

If you're rolling with advantage or disadvantage, select the appropriate option from the dropdown; otherwise, keep it set to “Normal.” In the “Primary Damage” field, enter a dice expression like “2d6” or a cumulative formula such as “1d4+1d4+1d4,” and then input any flat damage bonus in the “Damage Modifier” section.

What Kind of Damage Does the Attack Do?

Choose your damage type (for instance, Bludgeoning or Fire). If your attack includes an additional damage effect, such as from a special ability, complete the “Secondary Damage” field and specify its damage type. Upon clicking “Roll Attack,” your d20 roll will be displayed first (showing both rolls if you had advantage/disadvantage), followed by a detailed list of each damage die outcome under “Damage Rolls” (and under “Damage Rolls 2” if you applied a second damage formula).

Finally, you'll receive a brief summary indicating whether you missed, landed a regular hit, or achieved a critical hit, along with the total damage dealt.

How to Use this DnD 5e Skill Check Roller

For skill checks, select the relevant skill from the dropdown and enter any flat bonus you possess (ability modifier, proficiency, etc.). If you have enhancements like Bless, input a dice expression (e.g., “1d4”) in the “Additional Dice” box.

Adding Special Abilities

You can also tick the checkboxes for Silver Tongue (which adjusts low Persuasion or Deception rolls to 10), Ear for Deceit (boosting low Insight rolls to 8), or Reliable Talent (elevating any proficiency-based roll of 9 or lower to 10).

Advantage, Disadvantage, or Normal?

Choose Advantage or Disadvantage if applicable, then click “Roll Skill Check.” The tool will show each d20 result (including both if you had advantage or disadvantage), list any additional dice rolls, and provide a single statement summarizing your final total or noting whether you critically succeeded or failed.
