Gloom Warden

Gloom Warden, Masters of shadow and twilight, possessing the ability to navigate darkness with ease. They create safety nets of shadows that not only shield themselves from harm but assist allies in dark missions.


Silently weaving through the depths of the night, these night hunters can traverse even the darkest realms, moving unseen and unnoticed. Their mastery of the unseen forces of darkness grants them an unparalleled advantage in both battle and stealth, allowing them to strike with precision when the time is right.

Eyes of Night
1st Level Feature
When you choose this subclass at 1st level, you gain proficiency in Wisdom (Perception) checks. You also gain darkvision out to 120 feet. Within that range, dim light is treated as bright light, and darkness is treated as dim light for you.

As an action, you can magically share this darkvision with a number of willing creatures you can see within 15 feet equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of one). The shared darkvision lasts for 8 hours.

Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a spell slot of any level to use it again.

3rd Level Feature
As an action, you emanate a sphere of soothing twilight centered on you with a 30-foot radius. The area is filled with dim light and moves with you for 1 minute or until you become incapacitated or die. Once on each of your turns when a creature (including you) ends its turn in the sphere, you can grant that creature one of these benefits:
  • Life Ward. The creature gains temporary hit points equal to 1d6 + your Warden level.
  • Mental Fortitude. You end one effect on the creature that is causing it to be charmed or frightened.
Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.

6th Level Feature
Whenever you are in dim light or darkness, you can use a bonus action to sprout ethereal wings of shadow, granting you a flying speed equal to your walking speed for 1 minute.

You can use this bonus action a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

10th Level Feature
Your mastery of darkness deepens. You no longer suffer the effects of magical darkness, and you can see through it as if it were dim light. While you are in dim light or darkness, you gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks.

14th Level Feature
When an attacker you can see hits you with an attack while you are in dim light or darkness, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on that attack roll. If the attack still hits, you can immediately teleport up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space you can see that is also in dim light or darkness.

You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses when you finish a long rest.

19th Level Feature
The twilight you command now suffuses you and your allies with supernatural protection. While any creature is within the sphere created by your Twilight Sanctuary, that creature’s Armor Class and saving throws each increase by 3.
