Coven Shapeshifter
The Coven Shifter embodies the dark allure and predatory prowess of a vampire, blending deadly precision with supernatural grace. These shapeshifters channel the essence of their coven’s power, becoming faster, stronger, and more dangerous while shapeshifted.
Their abilities emphasize elegance and lethality, allowing them to stalk prey with ease and drain vitality from their foes to sustain their own strength. Whether striking from the shadows or commanding the battlefield with their presence, Coven Shifters exude an air of both beauty and menace.
Coven Shapeshifter Features By Level
You gain proficiency in History.
Sunlight no longer harms you and you ignore its usual detrimental effects due to a pact with a witch’s patron. You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed, and you gain a +3 bonus to Persuasion, Deception, Intimidation, and Performance checks.
When you Shift, choose one form:
- Bat Form. You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed. You can’t attack in this form.
- Vampire Form.
You gain a Vampiric Bite, a simple melee weapon attack that uses your Constitution modifier for attack and damage rolls. The bite deals 1d8 piercing damage. You have advantage on bite attack rolls when you’re at or below half your hit points, and when you hit a non-Construct or non-Undead creature, you regain hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.
Your bite’s damage increases to 2d8 at 6th level, 3d8 at 11th level, and 4d8 at 16th level.
After you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
When you hit a creature with your Vampiric Bite, you deal additional necrotic damage equal to your level. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or be charmed by you until the end of your next turn.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses when you finish a long rest.
- Nightbound Shift. Between dusk and dawn, or while in darkness, you can enter or end your Shift at will, without spending a bonus action or expending a use.
- Eternal Mistform. While shifted, you can use your Mistform reaction any number of times, without limitation.
